Summer Fundraising Events

15 September 2017

We at Bolton and Radcliffe branch kicked off our fundraising events this Summer by hosting a stall at the Bolton Wanderers Boot Fair on Sunday the 28th May 2017.  Thanks to items which were kindly donated by dedicated supporters, our lovely volunteers Tracey and Fran were able to raise £55, all of which went towards the feral cat’s food fund.  If you have any household items, bric a brac, children’s toys or clothes which you would like to donate for similar events please do drop us a line as we would be happy to arrange to collect them.
Fran at the Bolton Wanderers Boot Sale

We were back at Bolton Wanderers on the 2nd July for another boot fair.  By 11am everything we brought with us had sold and we raised the fantastic amount of £104, all of which will be going towards purchasing shelters for strays.  Thank you again for all the kind donations which made participating in this sale possible.

On the 6th August we made our way to the annual Doggy Mixtures dog show and fair at Moses Gate Country Park, where we had been invited to set up a stall.  The day was tremendous fun and we raised £78 which will go a long way towards helping cats in desperate need.  We would like to thank Hazel for her very generous donation and new volunteers Sam, Emma and Suzanne for all their help on the stall, your dedication was much appreciated.  Huge thanks are also due to Sue, as without her we couldn’t carry out as much of the good work that we do, and last but not least Tracey who does a fantastic job under very difficult circumstances, there wouldn’t be a Bolton and Radcliffe branch without her.
The Volunteering Team at Doggy Mixtures
On the 20th August volunteers attended another boot fair at Bolton Wanderers and raised a further £175 towards shelters for strays.  Thanks again to everyone who has donated items for the boot fairs, you play an important part in enabling us to continue helping as many cats as possible.

Finally, a tin shake was held at Morrison’s near Bolton town Centre on the 9th and 10th September, several volunteers came to help out over the two days so a massive thank you goes out to all of you for being there.

We are always on the lookout for volunteers to help with fundraising so if you have a bit of time to spare and some great ideas which are just waiting to be put into action, please drop us a line, we would really love to have you on our team.
